Bring up to 6 quality clothing pieces and 6 books and/or toys (12 items in total) to our swapping party hosted in partnership with The Clothing Exchange. For each item you drop off, you will receive a token which can be used to select another item once the swap begins.
Be sure to say hi to our partnering volunteer initiative Boomerang Bags Riverstone, who will be handing out recycled fabric tote bags to take your items home in!
This is a workshop for Blacktown City Council residents only.
Times:
donations drop-off and check-in from noon to 12.45 pm
presentation from 12.45 pm to 1.00 pm
swap runs from 1 pm to 2 pm.
There will be light refreshments available throughout the afternoon.
Guidelines:
Please note that there is a quality screening process for items accepted for the swap and donations drop-off. Clothing and soft toys must be in excellent condition, meaning pre-washed and free from rips, holes, stains or major faults. All books and toys should be clean and in working order. Battery operated toys must work with batteries working or replaced. Battery cases must be secured by screws or other means to prevent children from prying them open.
Items to bring:
quality baby and children's clothing suitable for ages 8 and under
children’s hats, shoes and bags
books, puzzles, musical instruments, dolls and other children’s toys.
Items NOT to bring:
underwear, socks and swimwear
anything stained, torn, unclean or broken
unwashed soft or cloth toys
small parts that could be a choking hazard.
Please book one ticket per person including children over 2 years old. All children attending must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
