Join us at Western Sydney University’s Parramatta South campus for our third Clothes and Resources Swap — a free community event celebrating reuse, sharing and connection.
Our previous swaps have each welcomed 250+ participants and redistributed around 300–400 kg of clothing and other useful items, keeping them in circulation and out of landfill.
Bring up to 10 good-quality clothing items, toys, books or household items you no longer need, and take home something new-to-you.
Nothing to swap? No worries — there’s always plenty for everyone.
This is more than a swap. It’s a practical response to rising living costs, waste and overconsumption, while creating space for generosity, care and collective climate action.
Held during the school holidays, the event is a collaboration between the Festival of Action at Western Sydney University, City of Parramatta and Clothing Exchange, bringing students, staff, alumni, local community members and families together on campus. Parents for Climate are also joining us, providing family friendly activities and summer preparedness education.
Alongside the main swap, Artists for Cultural Revolution will host an Arts Swap/Fair — bring art to swap, or browse and buy affordable work from participating artists.
Who can attend?
Everyone is welcome — students, staff, alumni, local community members and families.
Come as you are. Bring what you can. Leave with something useful, joyful, or both.
What to bring
Bring up to 10 items, including:
Clothing
Toys
Books
Plants
Art
Household items
Please make sure everything you bring is clean, in good condition and gift-worthy.
Can’t bring anything? Still come along - there will be plenty for everyone.
How the swap works
Check in when you arrive and start swapping straight away - there’s no need to bring an item to take an item.
What’s available depends on what our community brings, so sizes, styles and items will vary. That’s part of the joy of swapping.
Arts Swap/Fair
We’re also teaming up with Artists for Cultural Revolution for an Arts Swap/Fair.
Bring art to swap, or browse and buy affordable work from participating artists. It’s another way to share resources, support creative work and take home something special.
