Clothes and Resources Swap @ WSU (Parramatta South Campus)

  • Western Sydney University – Parramatta South Campus (Rydalmere) 📍 Building EEA / Janice Reid Pavilion Victoria Rd, Rydalmere NSW 2116 (map)

A Youth Week Circular Swap Collaboration

This event is a collaboration between Western Sydney University and City of Parramatta Council, delivered as part of Youth Week, and proudly supported by community and campus partners.

About the event

Join Festival of Action (Western Sydney University) and City of Parramatta Council for a vibrant, inclusive Clothes and Resources Swap celebrating young people, circular fashion, climate action and community connection during Youth Week.

Held at WSU Parramatta South Campus in Rydalmere, the event is easily accessible via the Parramatta Light Rail, making it convenient for students, staff, alumni, and our wider local communities.

Our event is more than a swap. It is a shared response to the climate crisis, rising living costs, and fast‑fashion culture. Together, we are creating space for generosity, care, creativity, and collective action.

Australia is one of the world’s highest consumers of clothing per person, contributing to around 300,000 tonnes of textile waste each year. Clothes swapping is a powerful circular economy solution, keeping quality items in use and out of landfill—while making fashion more accessible for everyone.

Who can attend?

Everyone is welcome. Students, staff, alumni, young people, and local community members are invited to take part. Come as you are. Bring what you can. Leave with something useful, joyful, or both.

What to bring

  • Clothes, books, homewares, plants, and study resources

  • Items must be clean, in great condition, and gift‑worthy

  • Bring up to 10 items
